Sunrise Township purchases fire protection services from two volunteer
fire departments. The northern part of the Township is served by the
Harris Fire Department and the southern part by the Almelund
Fire and Rescue in Amador Township. Each department has a defined
service area and there are mutual aid agreements between each fire
department and all of the surrounding departments.
